About “Guest Country Russia” Project

Region’s biggest Building, Construction Materials and Technologies Exhibition YAPI / TURKEYBUILD Istanbul 2011 will bring together Russian Business Leaders and Turkish Companies between April 27th and May 1st of 2011.

Aim of Project:
The Guest Country Russia Project, which will eventually be hosted by YAPI FUARI/TURKEYBUILD Istanbul throughout the exhibition, aims to:

• Increase trade volume of Building Materials & Technologies between Russia and Turkey as Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics and World Cup 2018 approach.
• Motivate Russian Business Leaders toward considering direct investment opportunities in the Turkish Construction Industry as well as forming mutually beneficial new partnerships in the region.
• Boost Turkish Contractors’ activities in Russia.

Services that are going to be made available throughout Yapı – Turkeybuild Istanbul 2011 Exhibition:
Both country’s business people will have the opportunity to benefit from consecutive translation services in meeting halls throughout the exhibition. “Doing Business in Russia” information booths will also provide free information on specific topics to business people who would like to Access the Russian market.

• Macro-economic perspective by DEIK (Foreign Economic Relations Board),
• Logistics, Supply Chain and Customs regulations: Things you need to know,
• Investment Opportunities in Turkey,
• Certification and Quality Systems in Russia,

• You may attend conferences organized by YEM and DEIK that promotes both the Project itself and aspects on doing business in Russia with regards to Production and Exportation of Building Materials and Contracting Services & Construction Projects. (See below)

In Promoting “Guest Country Russia” | Event Schedule:
To promote the Project in Turkey, the Building Information Centre (YEM) has scheduled 3 seminars for January, February and March. Each of these seminars will cover specific topics abut doing business in Russia and distinguished Turkish and Russian Business Leaders along with Representatives of DEIK (Foreign Economic Relations Board) Turkish – Russian Business Council will co-host these 3 seminars:

• January 27, 2011 Seminar 1: Turkish Companies that are actively involved in the sales and production of various Building Materials in Russia will provide insights into how investors can succeed abroad. You may visit the links to get a post-event report by DEIK and yapi.com.tr ’s article.

• February 23, 2011 Seminar 2: Turkish Contractors will share their stories with distinguished guests. Additionally, highlights of Yapiveri.com’s Turkish Construction Sector Report 2010 will be presented during the seminar for the first time. • March 31, 2011 Seminar 3: Experts’ opinions on Additional Business Services will be shared at this final seminar. Various topics on Banking Regulations & Financing, Logistics, Legal Counseling, etc. will be covered.

The strategic partnership agreement signed between YAPI FUARI/TURKEYBUILD and ITE Group will also create synergies between the two countries. Thus, YEM will concurrently conduct promotional activities in Russia by participating in ITE’s 3 Building Exhibitions stated below.
